Saturday, September 15th, SCLC we had a wonderful meet and greet! Please join us at our annual house party event on the east side, in Kirkland! Eat, drink and learn how you can take a more active role in your community.

We were this year's beneficiary for Noise For the Needy and it was a wonderful event. Between June 1-10, there were dozens of shows by dozens of groups at many of the venues around the Seattle area. All of the proceeds of the shows were generously donated to the SCLC.

SCLC has turned 15, and we made a point of celebrating! Thank you to our community for taking part in this beautiful celebration, and for taking part in our Evening of Stories. In the age of social media, we glance and read stories by the minute. This celebration was a grounded opportunity to meet face-to-face with the authors of their own stories about Social Security and the strength they gained from leaning on the Seattle Community Law Center for help.

Oscar, Jan, and Congressman Jim McDermott provided these great stories to us and we are very, very thankful!

A fantastic comedy event last year, November 12th! The "Friendraiser" filled the seats at "Laughs" at Kirkland with the amazing comedic adventures of four fantastic comedians. We are sure to host this event again this coming year in November!! Stay tuned!
